(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 구랍 31일, 부천시청 2층 어울마당 벽면에 나눔과 사회공헌을 실천한 시민을 예우하기 위한 ‘기부 명예의 전당’을 조성하고 제막식을 개최했다고 밝혔다. 

부천시에 따르면, ‘기부 명예의 전당’은 부천시 발전을 위해 헌신한 시민의 자긍심을 높이고, 일상 속 나눔과 사회공헌 문화를 확산해 ‘따뜻한 도시 부천’을 실현하기 위해 마련됐다. 

예우 공간은 ‘지역복지기부’와 ‘지역사회공헌’ 두 개 분야로 나뉘어 조성됐으며 총 129명이 등재됐다. 

지역복지기부 분야에는 취약계층 지원과 불우이웃돕기 등 모금기관과 연계해 나눔을 실천한 이들의 이름이 새겨졌으며, 지역사회공헌 분야에는 금전적 기부를 넘어 다양한 영역에서 지역 발전에 기여한 인물이 등재됐다.

특히, 이번 제막식은 종무식과 연계해, 시민 기부자에 대한 존경과 감사의 뜻을 되새기고 선한 영향력을 공유하는 자리로 진행됐다.

이날 제막식에 참석한 엄정태 등재자 대표는 “오늘 이 자리가 나눔의 끝이 아닌, 더 많은 부천시민이 나눔의 기쁨을 함께하는 새로운 시작이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 부천의 밝은 미래를 위해 힘을 보태겠다”고 소감을 전했다.

부천시 관계자는 “기부 명예의 전당은 나눔과 사회공헌의 가치를 널리 알리고, 더 많은 시민이 나눔에 동참하는 계기가 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 기부자가 존중받는 사회, 따뜻한 도시 부천을 만들기 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
