(브레이큰쥬스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 5일, 기온이 큰 폭으로 떨어지는 겨울철을 맞아 수도계량기 동파 사고에 선제적으로 대응하기 위해  2월까지 ‘동절기 수도계량기 동파 예방대책’을 마련해 추진 중이다고 밝혔다. 

부천시에 따르면, 이번 대책은 한파에 따른 수도시설 피해를 줄이고 시민 불편을 최소화하려는 조치다. 

수도계량기 동파는 급격한 기온 강하에 쉽게 발생하는 만큼, 사전 보온 조치가 중요하다. 

이에 따라 부천시는 계량기함 내부 수도관 관통구 틈새를 막고, 계량기와 수도관은 동파방지팩이나 마른 헌 옷 등으로 감싸 보온할 것을 권장한다. 

뚜껑은 보온재와 비닐로 넓게 덮고, 한파 시에는 수돗물을 조금씩 흘려보내며 사용하는 것도 도움이 된다.
