(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 5일 국고보조금 6조 4,735억 원과 보통교부세 1조 500억 원을 포함해 역대 최대 규모인 총 7조 5,235억 원의 국비를 확보했다고 밝혔다. 

인천시에 따르면, 이는 전년도 국비 확보액 6조 8,729억 원 대비 6,506억 원(9.5%) 증가한 것으로, 역대 최대치를 기록하며 국비 7조 원 시대에 진입했다. 

특히, 최근 3년 연속 정부의 세수 결손과 긴축재정 기조 등 어려운 여건 속에서도 당초 목표액인 6조 5,400억 원을 9,835억 원(15%) 초과 달성하는 값진 성과로 평가된다.

○ 보통교부세 역대 최대, 1조 500억 원 확보로 안정적 재원 기반 마련

인천시는 올해 역대 최대 보통교부세 1조 500억 원을 확보하여, 전년도 교부액 1조 32억 원 대비 468억 원(4.7%) 증가하는 성과를 거두었다. 

이는 보통교부세 총 재원이 전년 대비 2.1% 증가한 것에 비해 높은 증가율로, 시의 적극적인 재정 대응 노력이 반영된 주목할 만한 성과다.

이러한 건의 사항은 2025년 12월 30일 개정된 ‘지방교부세법 시행규칙’에 반영되어 보통교부세 수요액 산정에 포함됐으며, 주요 내용은 소상공인지원 수요 일몰연장, 기후에너지 수요 확대(대기·환경보호 투자 2%→4% 등), 버스 재정지원 일몰연장 등이다.

또한, 인천시는 보통교부세 산정을 위한 통계관리와 세입 확충, 세출 효율화를 위해 전담팀(T/F)을 운영하는 등 재정 확보 노력을 지속적으로 추진하고 있다.

인천시는 국고보조금 분야에서도 역대 최대 규모인 6조 4,735억 원도 확보했다. 

이는 전년도 대비 6,038억 원(10.3%) 증가한 수치로, 정부 총지출 증가율(8.1%)을 크게 웃도는 기록적인 성과다.
