다음은  남동구의회 이정순 의장의 신년사 전문이다.

존경하고 사랑하는 50만 남동구민 여러분!

안녕하십니까. 제9대 남동구의회 의장 이정순입니다.

희망의 2026년 병오년 새해를 맞이하여 구민 여러분 가정마다 건강과 평안, 그리고 새로운 도약의 기운이 가득하시기를 진심으로 기원합니다.

2025년 우리 사회는 계속되는 경기 불안과 물가 상승, 양극화와 고령화, 청년과 서민층의 고용·주거 불안 등으로 적지 않은 어려움을 겪었습니다. 

이러한 복합 위기 속에서 지방자치와 풀뿌리 민주주의의 역할은 더욱 무거워졌고, 주민 삶과 가장 가까운 곳에서 민생을 지키는 지방의회의 책임 또한 커졌습니다.

2026년 병오년은 뜨거운 열정과 추진력을 상징하는 해입니다. 

이러한 의미를 되새기며 남동구의회는 비상도약을 뜻하는 비상지세(飛上之勢)의 마음가짐으로, 그리고 어떤 어려움 속에서도 흔들리지 않는 견인불발(堅忍不拔)의 자세로 구민 여러분의 삶을 담대하게 책임지겠습니다.

아울러 제9대 남동구의회는 임기의 마지막을 향해 가고 있습니다. 

이제까지의 성과에 안주하지 않고, 끝까지 초심을 잃지 않겠다는 다짐으로 9대 의회를 성공적으로 마무리하겠습니다. 

남은 임기 동안에도 소홀함 없이 구민의 눈높이에서 의정 활동에 임하며, 민생을 중심에 둔 책임 있는 자세로 구민 여러분의 신뢰에 보답하겠습니다.

2026년 남동구의회는 사회·경제적 불안 속에서 취약계층과 서민, 청년과 어르신을 두텁게 보호하는 복지와 안전망을 강화하고 지역경제와 골목상권, 전통시장이 다시 활력을 찾을 수 있도록 실질적인 지원책을 마련하여 교육·돌봄·주거·교통·환경 등 생활 전 분야에서 구민이 체감할 수 있는 변화를 만들어 가겠습니다.

To the 500,000 residents of Namdong District who I respect and love!

Good morning. I am Lee Jeong-soon, the 9th Chairman of the Namdong District Council.

As we welcome the hopeful New Year of the Horse in 2026, I sincerely hope that each and every one of you will be filled with health, peace, and the energy of a new leap forward.

In 2025, our society faced significant challenges, including continued economic instability, rising prices, polarization and an aging population, and employment and housing insecurity for young people and the working class.

Amidst these complex crises, the role of local autonomy and grassroots democracy has become even more crucial, and the responsibility of local councils, which protect the livelihoods of residents closest to their lives, has also grown.

The year 2026, the Year of the Horse, symbolizes passionate passion and driving force.

Reflecting on this significance, the Namdong-gu Council will boldly take responsibility for the lives of its residents with the spirit of "bisangjise" (飛上之勢), signifying a leap forward, and with the unwavering, unwavering attitude of "tongbolbal" (堅忍不拔), no matter the difficulty.

Furthermore, the 9th Namdong-gu Council is nearing the end of its term.

With a commitment to not rest on our laurels and to never lose sight of our original intentions, we will successfully conclude the 9th Council.

Throughout the remainder of my term, I will diligently engage in legislative activities from the perspective of the residents, repaying their trust with a responsible attitude focused on the people's livelihoods.

In 2026, the Namdong-gu Council will strengthen the welfare and safety net to protect vulnerable groups, working class citizens, youth, and seniors amidst social and economic instability. We will also implement practical support measures to revitalize the local economy, local businesses, and traditional markets. This will create tangible changes for residents across all areas of their lives, including education, care, housing, transportation, and the environment.

My beloved residents of Namdong-gu, I will do my utmost to ensure that the Namdong-gu Council remains a strong supporter of our residents through the completion of the 9th council term and throughout 2026, as we prepare for a new leap forward.

We will never forget the hard work of our residents who have supported us on the ground and dedicated themselves to our local community over the past year.
