강은희 협의회장은 신년사를 통해 “2026년은 ‘교육의 기본은 더 단단하게, 미래를 향한 혁신은 더 과감하게’ 실현하고자 한다.”며 세 가지 중점 추진 과제를 발표했다.   

“첫째, 진정한 지방교육자치 실현에 힘쓰겠다.”라며, 국민의 걱정이 아닌 신뢰와 안심을 주는 교육으로 나아가기 위해, 교육현장의 작은 목소리에도 귀 기울이며 현실성 있는 대안을 함께 만들어가겠다고 밝혔다.  

“둘째, 따뜻하고 안전한 교육환경을 조성하겠다.”라며, 학생이 자유롭게 질문하고 탐구하는 수업이 정착하고, 교사가 수업과 생활지도에 전념할 수 있도록 교육 여건을 개선하겠다고 밝혔다.
