(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 3일 시청에서 외로움 대응 유관기관 간담회를 개최하고 다가오는 2026년 1월 출범 예정인 ‘외로움돌봄국’을 통한 외로움 대응 정책의 추진 방향과 주요 신규·확대 사업들을 유관기관들과 공유했다고 밝혔다.

이와 함께 자살·고독사·1인 가구 지원 관련 신규 및 확대 사업을 포함한 17개 사업의 추진 계획이 심도 있게 논의됐으며, 현장 여건을 고려한 기관별 협력 방안과 개선 의견도 함께 모색됐다. 

인천시는 이러한 과정을 통해 2026년 사업 준비 상황을 점검하고 기관별 추진 과제를 명확히 했다.

보건복지부 ‘고립은둔 청년 실태조사 연구’에 따르면 고립·은둔 청년은 전체 청년의 5% 수준으로 인천시는 약 3만 9천 명으로 추산되며 2024년 자살 사망자 935명, 고독사 260명, 1인 가구 41만 2천 가구 등 사회적 외로움 관련 지표들이 지속적으로 증가하고 있다.

인천시는 이러한 문제를 인지하고 시민이 체감할 수 있는 외로움 예방 정책을 체계적으로 추진해 나갈 방침이다.
