(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 1일, 인천로봇랜드 내 산업시설용지가 도시첨단산업단지로 지정됐다고 밝혔다. 

인천시에 따르면,‘인천 로봇랜드 조성사업’은 민선8기 첨단 로봇산업 클러스터 구축의 핵심 공약 사업이자, 지난 10월 29일 발표된 ‘인천 로봇산업 혁신성장 정책발표’ 핵심 전략 중 하나이다. 

인천시는 이번 지정을 통해 인천은 2030년까지 로봇산업 3조 원+α 시대를 향한 도약에 중요한 초석을 마련하게 됐다.

이번 도시첨단산업단지 지정은 로봇 기업들을 위한 제도적 기반이 확보했다는 점에서 의미가 크다. 

국내 대기업 입주와 500㎡이상의 공장 신・증설 및 이전이 가능해졌으며 각종 규제 해소와 세제 혜택 등 파격적인 인센티브 부여가 현실화되면서 기업 투자 유치에 탄력이 붙을 것으로 기대된다. 

인천시와 인천도시공사는 2026년 말 용지 공급과 기업 유치를 위한 산ㆍ학ㆍ연ㆍ관 협력체계를 기반으로 한 혁신추진단(TF)을 구성하고 본격적인 사업 투자설명회(IR 등)를 추진할 예정이다. 

특히, 수도권 주요 산업단지 대비 약 40~50% 저렴한 공급가격은 기업의 초기 투자 부담을 크게 낮춰 기업 유치 경쟁력을 높이는 요소로 작용할 전망이다. 

인천로봇랜드는 인천경제자유구역 청라국제도시 내 76만 9천㎡ 부지에 로봇산업진흥시설과 테마파크, 상업 및 업무시설 등을 조성하는 대규모 프로젝트이다. 

사업이 완료되면 400여 개 로봇기업 및 실증・연구기관이 집적하고 수도권 최대 규모의 로봇 실증 인프라, 실외 자율주행 테스트베드 구축이 추진되어 로봇산업의 全 단계(R&D–생산–실증–체험–사업화)를 하나의 공간에서 구현할 수 있는 산업기반을 갖추게 된다.
