(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 법무부 인천보호관찰소 서부지소가 최근 보호관찰 대상자의 범죄예방 및 올바른 성장을 위하여 청소년범죄예방심리지원협회와 업무협약식을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

인천보호관찰소 서부지소에 따르면, 이번 협약은 보호관찰 대상자의 심리상담 및 사례관리 활동 지원을 통해 재범방지와 안전한 지역사회 조성을 위하여 기관 간 협조체제를 구축하고자 마련됐다.

인천서부보호관찰 김동민 소장은“보호관찰소는 법 집행 기관으로서 청소년의 재범방지와 사회적응 지원에 힘쓰고 있지만 청소년 비행의 근본적인 원인을 해결하기 위해서는 전문적인 심리적 접근과 지원이 필수적입니다. 청소년범죄예방심리지원협회의 그동안 쌓아오신 심리 지원 분야의 전문성과 경험을 통해 문제해결의 발판을 마련하는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다.”고 말했다.

청소년범죄예방심리지원협회 사무국장은“보호관찰 대상 청소년들은 심리적으로 가장 섬세하고 전문적인 개입이 필요한 대상입니다. 오늘 이 협약은 우리 협회의 심리상담 및 치료 역량을 청소년들의 보호와 선도 현장에 직접적으로 접목할 수 있는 중요한 계기가 될 것입니다. 보호관찰 청소년이 올바른 가치관을 정립할 수 있도록 최선을 다해 적극 지원하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

업무 협약의 주요 내용은  보호관찰 대상 청소년 심리상담 및 사례관리,  기관 홍보 및 대상자 연계 등, 기타 범죄예방 활동에 관한 정보와 자원의 상호 지원 등이다. 

한편,  법무부 범죄예방정책국은 청소년 범죄예방, 보호관찰, 전자감독, 범법 정신질환자 관리를 통해 범죄로부터 우리 사회를 안전하게 지키는 임무를 수행하는 법무부장관 보조기구이며, 범죄예방정책국 소관 법무부 소속기관은 보호관찰소, 위치추적관제센터, 소년원, 소년분류심사원, 청소년비행예방센터, 국립법무병원(舊. 치료감호소) 등 총 97개 기관이 있다.
