(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시 계양구가 최근 둑실동 일원에서 추진 중인 도로개설사업의 보상계획을 공고하고 본격적인 협의 보상 절차에 착수했다고 밝혔다. 

계양구에 따르면, 이번 사업은 교통 불편이 심했던 둑실동 지역 주민들의 오랜 숙원사업으로, 주민들의 생활불편 해소와 안전한 도로환경 조성을 위한 첫걸음이 될 전망이다.

둑실동 주진입도로 개설사업은 총 연장 약 611m, 폭 6~8m 규모로 계획되어 있으며, 사업이 완료되면 생활도로 접근성이 개선되고 지역 내 교통 흐름이 한층 원활해질 전망이다. 

또, 소방도로가 확보되어 긴급차량의 통행이 원활해짐으로써 화재나 응급 상황 시 주민들의 안전이 한층 향상될 것으로 기대된다. 

공사는 보상 절차 완료 후 2026년 상반기 내 착공을 목표로 추진된다.  

이번 공고는 ‘공익사업을 위한 토지 등의 취득 및 보상에 관한 법률’ 제15조에 따라 시행되며, 편입되는 토지와 지장물 등에 대한 보상계획 열람 및 이의신청 절차가 함께 진행된다. 

계양구는 토지 소유자 및 이해관계인에게 개별 통지를 실시하고, 공정하고 신속한 보상이 이루어질 수 있도록 행정 지원을 강화할 방침이다.

윤환 계양구청장은 “둑실동 일원 도로개설사업은 지역 주민들이 오랫동안 기다려온 숙원사업으로, 앞으로 공정한 보상과 원활한 공사 추진을 통해 주민 불편을 해소하고, 보다 안전하고 쾌적한 도로환경을 조성해 나가겠다.”고 말했다.
