(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 2일,  최근 인천시교육청, 인천 약산초교와 ‘약산초등학교 통학로 조성사업’에 대한 협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

남동구에 따르면, 이 사업은 좁고 위험했던 약산초 통학로 문제를 해결하기 위해 안전한 보행공간을 조성하는 것으로, 오는 8월 완공이 목표이다.

전교생 587명의 약산초교는 좁은 길에 불법주차와 전주 등이 설치돼 학생 안전사고 우려와 함께 통행 불편 문제가 꾸준히 지적됐다.

이에 남동구는 그동안 교육청 및 약산초교와 지속적으로 협의하고, 학부모와 지역주민을 대상으로 설명회를 열어 통학로 공사에 대한 의견을 수렴했다.

협약의 주요 내용은 약산초교 어린이 보호구역의 안전한 통학로 시설 조성, 학교 부지 사용 허가 및 보행로 축조승인 등과 학생과 주민의 보행 안전 확보 및 학교 교육환경 영향 최소화 등이다.

특히, 이번 사업은 인천에서 초등학교 부지에 통학로(보도)를 조성하는 첫 사례다.

남동구는 학교 측 부지를 활용해 보도폭 1.5m의 통학로를 확보하고, 보행자 안전 펜스를 설치해 별도의 보행공간을 구분, 아이와 부모 모두 안심하고 다닐 수 있는 통학로를 조성할 계획이다.

박종효 남동구청장은 “이번 협약을 통해 우리 아이들이 안심하고 학교를 오갈 수 있는 안전한 보행환경을 만들 수 있게 돼 매우 의미있다”며 “앞으로도 어린이들의 안전을 최우선으로 한 보행환경 개선에 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.

또한, 남동구가 2일, 영유아의 성장과 발달 과정을 체계적으로 관리하고 발달장애를 조기에 발견·치료하기 위해 ‘영유아 건강 검진비 지원사업’과 ‘영유아 발달 정밀 검사비 지원사업’을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

남동구에 따르면, 영유아 건강검진은 월령에 따라 총 8회 실시되며, 각 시기는 생후 14~35일, 4~6개월, 9~12개월, 18~24개월, 30~36개월, 42~48개월, 54~60개월, 66~71개월이다. 

검진 비용은 무료이며, 검진 항목은 성장·발달 이상, 비만 등 주요 선별 질환을 조기에 확인할 수 있도록 5개 분야(계측, 측정, 문진, 진찰, 교육) 24개 항목으로 구성돼 있다.

검진 대상자는 해당 시기에 맞춰 영유아 건강검진 실시 의료기관을 방문해 검진을 받을 수 있으며, 대상 여부와 검진기관은 국민건강보험공단 홈페이지에서 확인 가능하다.

이와 함께 건강검진 발달평가 결과 ‘심화평가 권고’ 판정을 받은 경우, 영유아 발달 정밀검사비가 지원된다. 

지원 항목은 발달 정밀검사에 직접적으로 필요한 검사 및 진찰료이며, 지원금액은 기초생활수급자·차상위계층의 경우 최대 40만 원, 건강보험 가입자의 경우 최대 20만 원이다.

해당 사업은 건강검진을 받은 날로부터 1년 이내에 발달 정밀검사를 받고, 정밀검사를 실시한 해의 다음 연도 상반기(6월말)까지 보건소로 방문 신청하면 된다.
