(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부평구시설관리공단(이하 ‘공단’)이 2일, 공단에서 운영하는 부평남부체육센터(이하 ‘센터’)에 고객 안전 확보와 ESG 경영 강화를 위해 ‘친환경 에너지 융합형 스마트 교통안전 시스템’을 구축했다고 밝혔다.

공단에 따르면, 이번 시스템은 센터 주차장 내 보행자와 차량 간 사고 위험을 줄이고, 태양광 에너지를 활용해 친환경 경영을 실현하는 것을 목표로 설치됐다. 

특히, 야간 시야 확보가 어려운 횡단보도 구간에 시각·청각 신호를 제공하는 스마트 기술이 적용돼 고객 안전성이 크게 향상될 것으로 기대된다.

스마트 교통안전 시스템은 센터 부설주차장 지상 1층 횡단보도 구간에 설치되었으며, 차량 접근을 감지하는 센서, 시각적 경고를 위한 LED 경고등, 청각적 경고를 제공하는 음성 안내 장치로 구성되어 있다. 

차량이 접근하면 보행자에게는 음성 알림이 송출되고, 운전자에게는 LED 경고등이 점등되어 쌍방의 안전 인식을 돕는다.

공단은 이번 사업 추진에 앞서 차량 및 보행자 이동 패턴을 분석하여 최적의 설치 위치를 선정하고, 시공 계획을 수립했다. 

향후에도 지속적인 성능 점검과 고객 피드백 반영을 통해 시스템 운영을 최적화할 계획이다.

윤낙영 공단 이사장은 “이번 시스템은 고객의 안전을 최우선으로 고려하고, 친환경 기술을 도입한 ESG 경영의 실천 사례”라며, “앞으로도 공단 전반에 안전과 환경을 동시에 고려한 스마트 인프라를 확대 구축해 나가겠다.”고 밝혔다.

또한, 부평구시설관리공단(이하 ‘공단’)이 2일부터 오는 8월 31일까지, 무더운 여름철 유아 및 어린이들이 안전하고 시원하게 여가를 즐길 수 있도록, 관내 어린이 물놀이장 5개소를 운영한다고 밝혔다.

공단에 따르면, 물놀이장은 갈산·백운·후정·나비·일신 어린이공원 내에 조성되어 있으며, 유아와 어린이 누구나 무료로 이용할 수 있다.

운영시간은 오전 10시 30분부터 오후 5시까지이며, 점심시간 및 휴게시간에는 이용이 제한된다. 

또, 매주 월요일은 물놀이장 점검을 위해 휴장한다.

이용에 필요한 세부사항은 공단 홈페이지 내 공지사항에서 확인할 수 있으며, 일자별 운영 여부 및 혼잡도 현황도 실시간으로 안내하고 있다.

공단은 안전한 물놀이 환경 조성을 위해 자격을 갖춘 안전요원을 상시 배치하고, 수질 관리를 위해 매일 물을 교체하는 등 위생관리에도 철저를 기할 계획이다.
