(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 1일부터 오는 9월 28일까지 인천시, 마이크로소프트(MS)와 공동으로 ‘2025 인천크래프트 크리에이터 공모전’을 개최한다고 밝혔다.

인천시교육청에 따르면, 올해로 다섯 번째를 맞는 이번 공모전은 초‧중학생을 대상으로 ‘내가 상상하는 인천, 내가 만드는 문화 놀이터’를 주제로 마인크래프트 가상 공간에서 창의적인 디지털 설계를 진행하는 프로젝트형 대회다.

참가 학생들은 박물관, 해양 모험 공간, 문화 광장, 역사 체험 맵 등 다양한 콘텐츠로 인천의 문화와 공간을 재해석하며 창작 활동을 펼친다. 

특히, 인천과 콜롬비아 학생들이 공동 참여하는‘한-콜 메타크루 원정대’는 국제교육협력 부문에 작품을 출품할 예정으로, 언어와 시차를 넘어 창의성과 협업을 실현한 디지털 국제교류의 모범 사례가 될 것으로 기대된다.

인천시교육청은 이번 공모전이 학생들이 일상 속 공간과 문화를 주제로 탐구하고 표현하는 ‘읽걷쓰’ 교육의 실천 사례로, 창의성과 디지털 역량을 키우는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다.

공모전은 팀 또는 개인 단위로 누구나 참여할 수 있으며, 결과는 10월 중 인천크래프트 누리집에 발표된다. 

수상작은 마인크래프트 전문가로 구성된 심사위원회를 거쳐 선정된다.

인천시교육청 관계자는 “앞으로도 학생들의 삶 속의 일상 경험이 특별한 배움이 되는 교육을 실현하기 위하여 디지털 기반의 다양한 학생 참여 중심의 교육 프로그램을 운영해 갈 예정”이라고 말했다.

Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it will hold the '2025 Incheon Craft Creator Contest' in collaboration with Incheon City and Microsoft (MS) from the 1st to September 28th.

According to Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, this contest, which is in its fifth year, is a project-type contest for elementary and middle school students to carry out creative digital design in the Minecraft virtual space under the theme of 'Incheon I imagine, cultural playground I create.'

Participating students will engage in creative activities by reinterpreting Incheon's culture and space with various contents such as museums, marine adventure spaces, cultural plazas, and historical experience maps.

In particular, the 'Han-Col Metacrew Expedition', in which students from Incheon and Colombia participate jointly, is expected to be an exemplary case of digital international exchange that realizes creativity and collaboration beyond language and time differences.

The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education expects that this contest will be an example of 'Read and Write' education in which students explore and express themes of space and culture in their daily lives, and will serve as an opportunity to foster creativity and digital capabilities.

Anyone can participate in the contest as a team or as an individual, and the results will be announced on the Incheon Craft website in October.

The winning works will be selected by a judging committee comprised of Minecraft experts.

An official from the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education said, "We will continue to operate various digital-based, student-participation-centered educational programs in order to realize an education in which students' daily experiences become special learning."
