(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 지난 6월 30일 ‘부천시 CCTV 통합관제센터’ 관제사 5명이 실시간 모니터링과 신속한 대응으로 범죄 예방과 긴급 상황 대응에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 원미경찰서장으로부터 감사장을 받았다고 밝혔다. 

부천시에 따르면, 관제사들은 4월 17일 발생한 폭행 사건을 실시간으로 관제하고 경찰에 신고해 용의자 검거를 지원했다. 

또, 5월 7일 강도 사건 현장에서 도주한 차량번호를 식별해 수사에 단서를 제공하는 등 각종 사건·사고를 조기에 인지하고 신속히 경찰에 전달해 범죄 예방과 시민의 생명·재산 보호에 기여했다.

부천시 폐쇄회로(CC)TV 통합관제센터는 시 전역 2,151곳에 8,644대의 CCTV를 설치·운영하며, 1㎢당 약 162대의 높은 설치 밀도를 바탕으로 24시간 실시간 관제망을 구축하고 있다. 

‘지능형 선별관제시스템’은 인공지능(AI)이 범죄 징후를 자동으로 탐지·표출하며, ‘군중안전솔루션’은 군중 밀집도를 실시간으로 감지해 범죄와 안전사고를 선제적으로 예방하고, 사건·사고에 신속히 대응하고 있다.

새롭게 개관하는 센터는 재난·안전 분야까지 확대해 실시간 도시 상황을 공유하고, 유관기관 간 협업 대응체계를 강화할 계획이다.

최보현 부천원미경찰서장은 “부천시 CCTV 통합관제센터의 신속한 대응과 정밀한 모니터링이 현장에서 큰 도움이 되고 있다”며 “앞으로도 경찰과 지자체 간 협력을 강화해 지역 안전을 더욱 견고히 하겠다”고 전했다.
