(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서부경찰서가 30일, 최근 급증하는 교제폭력 문제에 대응하고 이를 예방하기 위해 인하공업전문대학교 디지털마케팅학과와 공동으로 영상 공모전‘폴-인-캠’을 진행했다고 밝혔다. 

서부경찰서에 따르면, 이번 공모전은 교제폭력에 대한 심각성을 시민들에게 알리고 예방의식을 확산시키기 위한 취지에서 기획 되됐며, 총 3편의 수상작이 선정됐다. 

시상식은 지난 6월 27일 인천서부경찰서에서 열렸으며, 우수작으로 선정된 수상작은 6월 28일과 29일 열리는 ‘싸이 흠뻑쇼’ 현장에서 대형 스크린을 통해 상영됐다. 

또 공항철도 14개역 및 지역 내 유관기관의 온라인 채널을 통해서도 공개·홍보하여 보다 넓은 시민층에게 메시지를 전달할 예정이다. 

특히 교제폭력은 최근 들어 심각한 사회 문제로 대두되고 있다. 

경찰청 통계에 따르면 교제폭력 신고건수는 22년 70,790건, 23년 77,150건, 24년 88,839건으로 지난 3년간 약 25% 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 

이는 단순한 다툼이 아닌 생명과 안전을 위협하는 중대한 범죄로서의 인식이 필요한 시점임을 시사한다. 

인천 서부경찰서장은“청년 세대의 창의적인 시선을 통해 교제폭력이라는 민감한 주제가 효과적으로 전달 될 수 있기를 바라며 앞으로도 다양한 문화·콘텐츠와 연계한 캠페인을 통해 교제폭력에 대한 경각심을 지속적으로 높여 전국민적 공감대가 형성되기를 기대한다.”고 전했다.
