(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 국민의힘 이달희 의원(비례대표·행정안전위원회)이 지난 26일, 최근 공직선거에서 드러난 투·개표 관리 부실 문제를 방지하기 위해 투표관리관, 사전투표관리관, 투표사무원, 개표사무원 (이하 투·개표사무인력)에 대한 교육을 의무화하는 내용의 「공직선거법 일부개정법률안」을 대표발의했다고 밝혔다.

이달희 의원에 따르면, 현행 「공직선거법」에 따라 선거관리위원회는 공직선거 시 투·개표 사무를 위하여 국가 및 지방공무원과 교직원 중에서 (사전)투표관리관을 위촉하며, 공무원, 비공무원(교직원, 금융기관 직원 등), 일반인(공정하고 중립적인 자)중에서 투표사무원과 개표사무원을 위촉하고 있다.

하지만 현행법에는 위촉된 투·개표사무인력에 대한 선관위의 교육 의무는 명확히 규정되어 있지 않다.
