(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 중부지방해양경찰청이 지난 24일 오전 10시부터 12시까지,  본격적인 여름철을 앞두고, 인천 영종 기지에서 관내 어린이집 원아 93명을 대상으로 물놀이 안전사고 예방을 위한 체험형 안전교육 행사를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

중부해경청에 따르면, 이번 교육은 중부해경청 특공대‧항공대‧인천해경서 특수구난정이 협업하여 마련한 행사로, 단순 강의 중심을 벗어나 어린이들이 직접 보고 듣고 체험할 수 있는 현장 중심 안전교육이라는 점에서 의미가 컸다.

특히, 아이들의 눈높이에 맞춘 체험 프로그램을 통해 응급상황에 대한 대처 능력을 자연스럽게 익히도록 구성해 특공대 장비와 헬기, 특수구난정 등 평소 접하기 어려운 해양경찰 특수장비를 직접 체험함으로써 해양경찰에 대한 이해와 흥미를 높이는 기회도 제공했다.
