(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시의회 교육위원회가 최근 인천시교육청의 올해 ‘제1회 추가경정예산안’ 심사를 통해 본예산 5조2천975억 원보다 2천168억 원(4.1%) 증가한 5조5천143억 원을 의결했다고 밝혔다.

인천시의회에 따르면, 교육위원회는‘인천광역시 교육비특별회계 세입․세출 제1회 추가경정예산안’을 심사해 ‘학생 1인1예술교육’ 실시 등 17건에 9억6천598만 원을 증액했다.

또한, 교육위원회 의원들은 신청사 증축 관련 계속비 및 기금 편성, 장애인 고용부담금, 학생 문화예술교육 관련 예산, 교육균형발전위원회 증액, 맞춤형 복지점수, 무상급식비 인원 추계 오차, AI외국어교육시스템운영사업 관련 계약, 학생 정신건강 위기 등에 대해서도 질의하는 등 올바른 교육예산 집행을 주문했다.

이용창 위원장은 “이번 추경 예산안 심사는 인천시교육청의 주요 정책 방향과 사업의 실효성을 점검하고, 재정 운용의 책임성과 투명성을 확보하는 데 중점을 뒀다”며 “앞으로도 교육위원회는 학생 중심의 정책이 현장에서 제대로 작동할 수 있도록 예산의 타당성과 집행의 효과성을 꼼꼼히 따져 보다 내실 있는 교육 재정 운용이 이뤄지도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 교육위원회가 심의한 추경안은 오는 26일 예산결산특별위원회의 심의를 거쳐 30일 본회의 전체 의결을 통해 최종 확정될 예정이다.
