(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 한국농수산식품유통공사(이하 aT) 홍문표 사장이 중동 K-푸드 시장 진출을 위한 새로운 협력 거점을 구축했다. 

홍 사장은 현지시간 6월 16일 아랍에미리트(UAE) aT두바이지사에서 ‘중동 K-Food 영토확장 민관 협업센터’ 현판식에 참석했다.

이번 민관 협업센터 출범은 aT두바이지사를 K-푸드의 중동 수출 확대를 위한 핵심 거점으로 조성하기 위해 마련됐으며, 수출기업들에게는 공유오피스 제공, 현지 네트워크 구축 지원, 할랄 한우 수출지원 등 원스톱 서비스를 제공할 예정이다.

 현판식에는 홍문표 사장을 비롯해 NH농협 축산경제 안병우 대표, 한국한우수출조합협의회 김용욱 회장, 세계한인무역협회(OKTA) 권휘 두바이지회장 등 민간 수출 주체들이 참석하여 중동시장 공략을 위한 민관 협력 의지를 다졌다.

 홍문표 사장은 현판 제막에 직접 참여하며 “중동은 중남미, 인도와 함께 우리 농식품의 3대 신시장으로, 민관이 힘을 합쳐 시너지를 창출해야 할 때”라며, “이번 협업센터가 한국 농식품의 중동 진출을 위한 전진기지 역할을 충실히 수행하길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

협업센터는 향후 중동 각국의 수입 규제 정보 제공, 바이어 매칭, 현지 마케팅 지원 등을 통해 우리 수출업체들의 중동시장 안착을 위한 종합 지원 플랫폼으로 운영될 예정이다.

한편, 홍 사장은 같은 날 주두바이 대한민국 총영사관에서 이범찬 총영사를 만나 할랄 인증 한우를 중심으로 한 전략 품목의 중동 진출 확대, 현지 유통망 구축, 정부 간 협력 강화 필요성 등을 설명하며 총영사관의 지원을 요청했다. 

특히 포도, 딸기 등 한국의 프리미엄 과실류와 유망한 식품을 한우와 함께 중점 홍보해 나가기로 했다.

Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT) President Hong Moon-pyo has established a new base for cooperation to advance into the Middle East K-food market.

President Hong attended the unveiling ceremony for the 'Middle East K-Food Territory Expansion Public-Private Collaboration Center' at the aT Dubai branch in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on June 16 (local time).

The launch of this public-private collaboration center was prepared to establish the aT Dubai branch as a key base for expanding K-food exports to the Middle East, and will provide one-stop services to export companies, such as shared office space, support for establishing local networks, and support for halal Korean beef exports.

At the signboard unveiling ceremony, private exporters including President Hong Moon-pyo, NH Nonghyup Livestock Economy Representative Ahn Byung-woo, Korea Hanwoo Export Association Chairman Kim Yong-wook, and World Korean Traders Association (OKTA) Dubai Branch Chairman Kwon Hui attended and expressed their will for public-private cooperation to conquer the Middle East market.

President Hong Moon-pyo directly participated in the signboard unveiling and said, “The Middle East, along with Central and South America and India, is one of the three new markets for our agricultural and food products. It is time for the public and private sectors to join forces to create synergy,” and added, “I hope this collaboration center will faithfully fulfill its role as a forward base for Korean agricultural and food products to advance into the Middle East.”

The collaboration center will be operated as a comprehensive support platform to help our exporters settle into the Middle East market by providing information on import regulations in each Middle Eastern country, matching buyers, and supporting local marketing.

Meanwhile, on the same day, President Hong met with Consul General Lee Beom-chan at the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Dubai and requested the Consulate General’s support, explaining the need to expand the Middle East market for strategic products centered on Halal-certified Korean beef, establish a local distribution network, and strengthen cooperation between governments.

In particular, they decided to focus on promoting Korean premium fruits such as grapes and strawberries and promising food products along with Korean beef.
