남동구에 따르면, 결산 검사는 지방자치법 제150조에 따라 남동구의회가 선임한 결산검사위원들이 수행하며, 결산서와 첨부서류를 검토해 2024년도 예산 집행 전반의 건전성과 효율성 등을 종합적으로 점검하고 분석하는 절차다.
올해는 이연주 남동구의원이 대표위원으로 참여하며, 회계사와 세무사 총 5명의 분야별 전문가를 위원으로 위촉해 재무 운영의 적법성과 적정성을 중심으로 남동구의 재정 운영 성과를 체계적으로 분석할 계획이다.
결산검사위원들은 2024년도 예산이 계획된 사업 목적과 관련 법령에 따라 효율적으로 집행되었는지, 예산 낭비 요인은 없었는지 등을 중점 점검한다.
