(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 15일, 시민들의 재산권 행사를 지원하기 위해 운영 중인 ‘조상땅 찾기’ 서비스가 매년 큰 호응을 얻고 있다고 밝혔다. 

인천시에 따르면, 시는 2024년 한 해 동안 32,858명의 신청을 받아 29,297필지(20.2㎢)의 토지 정보를 제공했다.

‘조상땅 찾기’ 서비스는 지적·임야대장에 등록된 개인별 토지 소유 현황을 조회해 본인 또는 조상 명의로 된 전국의 토지 정보를 제공하는 행정서비스다.

이를 통해 시민들은 조상의 미처 알지 못했던 토지를 확인하고 재산권을 행사할 수 있다.

서비스를 이용하려는 시민은 본인의 신분증과 사망자 기준의 제적등본(2008년 이후 사망자의 경우 기본증명서와 가족관계증명서)을 준비해 인천시 토지정보과 또는 10개 군·구의 지적 관련 부서를 방문해 신청하면 된다.

온라인 신청도 가능하다. 

정부24 또는 K-Geo플랫폼을 통해 신청할 경우, 2008년 1월 1일 이후 사망한 직계 존·비속 및 배우자의 토지를 조회할 수 있다. 

다만, 조회 대상자의 주민등록번호, 사망 일자, 신청인과의 가족관계 등을 확인할 수 없는 경우에는 가까운 시청이나 군·구청을 방문해야 한다.
