(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구의회가 15일, 최근 의원연구단체 ‘남동구 무장애 도시 만들기 연구회’가 출범식과 연구용역착수 보고회를 가졌다고 밝혔다. 

남동구의회에 따르면, 남동구 무장애 도시 만들기 연구회는 연령· 장애유무 상관없이 모든 남동구민이 자유롭고 안전하게 이동하고 활동할 수 있는 포용적 도시를 설계하고 구축하고자 연구를 제안하고 의원연구회가 구성됐다.  

연구회는 장덕수 의원을 대표로 전유형, 이유경, 이용우, 박정하, 육은아 의원이 참여하고 오는 11월까지 연구가 진행될 예정이다.

주요 연구 내용은 무장애 도시 구축 선진사례와 국내외 현황 조사, 남동구 무장애 도시 현황 파악 및 설계의 적합도 분석, 무장애 도시 구축이 도시에 미치는 영향 및 필요성 등에 대해 조사 분석해 남동구민이 편리하게 산책하고 공공시설을 이용할 수 있는 무장애 시설을 확충하고 무장애 정책 개발 실행을 최종 목표로 한다.

장덕수 대표의원은 “이번 연구를 통해 무장애 도시에 대한 인식을 높이고 모든 구민들이 차별없이 편리한 생활을 누릴 수 있도록 정책 연구에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
