(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천지역 출신 대학생 22명에게 장학금이 전달됐다.

재단법인 부평장학재단(이사장 조진형)이 지난 12일 재단 사무국에서 ‘2025년도 장학증서 전달식’을 개최하여, 이사회 심의를 통해 장학생으로 선발된 대학생 22명에게 개인별 장학금 500만원씩 총 1억1000만원을 전달했다고 밝혔다.

부평장학재단은 지난 2002년 조진형 이사장이 인천지역 출신 인재들이 국가와 지역사회 발전에 이바지할 수 있는 창의적 리더로 성장할 수 있도록 지원하는 체계적인 인재육성 사업을 펼치기 위해 설립됐다. 

이사장 단독으로 60억5000만원을 출연했고, 23년간 장학생 926명에게 장학금 24억9,284만원을 지급했다.

조진형 이사장은 “장학생들이 국가와 지역사회의 성장과 발전에 기여할 수 있는 우수한 인재로 성장해 희망찬 세상을 만들어 주기 바란다”고 당부했다.

한편, 부평장학재단은 장학사업 이외에도 다양한 문화사업을 지원하고 있으며, 6월 7일에는 ‘제8회 초록굴포 그림그리기대회’를, 11월 8일에는 ‘제9회 전국 청소년 국악경연대회’를, 각각 개최할 예정이다.

Scholarships were delivered to 22 college students from the Incheon area.

The Bupyeong Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Cho Jin-hyung) held the ‘2025 Scholarship Award Ceremony’ at the foundation office on the 12th and announced that it delivered a total of 110 million won in scholarships of 5 million won per person to 22 college students selected as scholarship recipients through deliberation by the board of directors.
