(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천해양경찰서가 14일부터 6월 13일까지 해양오염사고를 예방하기 위한 해양시설 집중 안전점검을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

인천해경에 따르면, 이번 점검은 기름·유해액체물질 저장시설과 하역시설에서 위험요인을 발굴하고 해소하기 위해 진행된다.

점검 대상은 300㎘ 이상의 기름·유해액체물질 저장시설 30곳과 5만t 이상의 선박 접안이 가능한 시멘트·석탄 하역시설 12곳이다.

인천해경은 인천시, 인천지방해양수산청 등 유관기관 및 민간전문가와 함께 오염비상계획서 기준 준수 및 관리·이행 여부, 오염물질 해상 탈락 및 비산 등 예방조치 여부 등을 합동 점검한다.

인천해경 관계자는 “이번 집중 안전점검을 통해 기름 유출 등 해양오염사고를 예방하는 일에 최선을 다할 것”이라며 “사업장에서도 자체 안전의식을 높여 안전한 환경을 조성하길 바란다”고 말했다.

또한, 인천해양경찰서가 14일부터 5월 11일까지 출입통제구역에 대한 집중 안전관리를 실시한다고 밝혔다.

인천해경에 따르면, 최근 기온이 상승하면서 연안을 찾는 행락객이 늘어남에 따라 출입통제구역으로 지정된 중구 무의도 하나개해수욕장 갯벌 일부에 대한 예방 순찰을 강화한다.

또 출입통제구역 알림판, 인명구조함 등 안전시설물을 점검하고 출입통제구역의 위험성을 알리는 홍보활동도 전개한다.

특히 인천해경은 인천시와의 협업을 통해 야간 등 취약시간대에 드론을 활용한 갯벌 안전관리를 진행한다.

앞서 인천해경은 2021년 고립사고 다발지역인 하나개해수욕장 갯벌 일부를 출입통제구역으로 지정했다.

해당 구역은 ‘일몰 후 30분부터 일출 전 30분까지’, ‘주의보 이상 기상특보 발표 시’ 출입이 통제되며, 위반 시 100만 원 이하의 과태료가 부과된다.
