(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 지난 4월 4일부터 5일까지 ‘부천페스타 봄꽃여행’ 행사장에서 산불 피해를 입은 자매도시 봉화군과 옥천군을 지원하기 위해 농특산품 홍보·판매 부스를 운영했다고 밝혔다.

부천시에 따르면, 이번 지원은 산불 피해를 입은 자매도시의 조속한 회복을 돕기 위해 마련한 것으로, 봉화군과 옥천군의 지역 업체가 참여했다. 

두 지역 업체는 현장에서 직접 농특산물을 홍보하고 판매했으며, 시민들도 자매도시를 돕기 위해 적극적으로 참여했다.

부천시는 자매도시와 농·특산물 구입 및 홍보, 관광시설 이용료 할인, 부천형 스마트경로당 프로그램 지원 등 다양한 분야에서 지속적인 교류를 이어오고 있다.

이번 지원은 자매도시 간 오랜 우정을 바탕으로 한 상생의 일환으로, 시는 앞으로도 위기 상황에 긴밀히 협력하며 상호 신뢰를 더욱 강화해 나갈 방침이다.

조용익 부천시장은 현장을 찾아 “갑작스러운 산불로 어려움을 겪고 있는 봉화군민과 옥천군민께 깊은 위로의 마음을 전한다”며 “이번 행사가 지역의 빠른 경제 회복에 작은 힘이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

한편, 부천시는 이번 산불로 피해를 입은 또 다른 자매도시 무주군에 지난 3월 28일 구호물품 8,000여 개를 긴급 지원했다. 

이어 4월 1일에는 영남권 산불 피해 복구와 이재민 구호를 위해 2,700여 명의 부천시 공직자가 자율 모금에 참여해 총 2,581만 원의 성금을 전달했다.
