(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시의회가 지난 7일, 의장 접견실에서 ‘2024회계연도 결산검사위원 위촉식’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

인천시의회에 따르면, 이날 결산검사위원으로 인천시의회 박창호․김용희․김대영 의원을 비롯해 회계 및 재정 분야에 풍부한 경험과 전문성을 겸비한 공인회계사, 세무사, 전직 공무원 등 총 10명이 위촉됐다.

결산검사위원들은 이날부터 오는 25일까지 19일간 인천시와 인천시교육청의 2024년도 일반회계 및 각종 특별회계 세입ㆍ세출, 기금 등 총 22조2천522억 원 규모의 예산이 적법하고 적정하게 집행됐는지 건정성·적정성·효율성을 중점적으로 살펴볼 예정이다. 

정해권 의장은 “국내외 경제 성장 둔화로 경기침체가 길어지고 지속되는 물가 상승과 고금리로 인해 민생의 어려움이 가중되고 있다”며 “이런 때일수록 시민의 혈세가 적법하게 낭비 없이 쓰였는지 시민의 눈높이와 기준에서 보다 면밀하고 투명하게 살펴봐 주시고, 더 나아가 시민이 체감하는 재정 운용이 될 수 있는 다양한 정책적 대안도 제시할 수 있도록 위원들의 지혜와 역량을 모아주길 바란다”고 당부했다. 

한편, 인천시장과 인천시교육감은 결산검사위원이 작성·제출한 결산 검사 의견서를 결산서에 첨부해 다음 달 31일까지 인천시의회에 제출해야 하며, 인천시의회는 오는 6월 예정인 ‘제302회 정례회’에서 2024회계연도 결산을 심사·승인하게 된다.
