(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시의회가 4일, 의회 접견실에서 인천시, 인천시교육청 등과 함께 ‘인천 3대 기관 청렴 실천 공동 선언식’을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

인천시의회에 따르면, 이번 행사는 지난해 12월 국민권익위원회에서 발표한 ‘2024년도 공공기관 종합청렴도 평가 결과’에서 인천 3대 기관의 청렴도가 모두 낮게 평가된 것을 계기로, 각 기관 대표들이 청렴도 향상을 위한 공동 노력의 필요성을 인식하게 되면서 추진됐다.

이날 3대 기관은 청렴 실천 공동 선언 목표로 ‘투명하고 신뢰받는 청렴인천 구현’을 정했다.

이어 이를 실천하기 위해 공정하고 투명한 행정을 통한 시민 신뢰 회복, 부정부패, 불공정 관행, 특혜 등의 배제를 통한 깨끗한 사회 조성, 시민 소통 협력을 통한 청렴 행정 실현, 청렴 정책 강화 및 부패 방지 제도 마련을 위한 상호 협력 등을 세부 과제로 정했다.

또, 3대 기관은 이미 각 기관 감사관이 모여 청렴 정책 실천을 위한 공동과제를 논의하는 자리를 가진 바 있다.

앞으로도 청렴실천협의체를 통해 3개 기관 모두 청렴도 향상을 이룰 수 있도록 노력할 것을 다짐했다.

정해권 의장은 “최근 발생한 일련의 사건으로 의회에 대한 시민들의 신뢰도가 많이 낮아졌다”면서 “인천시의원을 대표해 앞으로 우리 인천시의회가 깨끗하고 투명한 의회, 신뢰받는 청렴 의회가 돼 ‘행복한 시민, 더 나은 내일’을 맞이할 수 있도록 각고의 노력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 인천시의회는 청렴도 향상을 위해 매년 반부패․청렴 기본계획을 수립해 각종 정책을 추진하고 있다.

올해도 불합리한 제도를 찾아 개선하는 한편, 하반기에는 의원 전체를 대상으로 청렴 교육을 실시하는 등 청렴도 향상에 더욱 노력할 예정이다.
