(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 17일, 가스열펌프 냉난방기에서 배출되는 대기오염물질을 줄이기 위해 저감장치 부착 비용의 90%를 지원한다고 밝혔다.

부천시에 따르면, 가스열펌프는 전기 대신 액화천연가스(LNG)나 액화석유가스(LPG)를 연료로 사용하는 냉난방기로, 전력피크 완화 대책의 일환으로 공공·민간 시설에 널리 보급돼 활용되고 있다.

하지만 가스열펌프 가동 시 질소산화물 등 대기오염물질이 배출됨에 따라, 2022년 6월 30일 개정된 ‘대기환경보전법 시행규칙’에 따라 2025년부터 대기배출시설 신고가 의무화됐다.

이에 따라 부천시는 2025년 12월 31일까지 저감장치를 부착하면 대기배출시설 신고 대상에서 제외되므로, 가스열펌프를 운영 중인 시설을 대상으로 저감장치 부착을 지원할 계획이다.

또한, 부천시는 총 3억5,937만 원을 투입해 가스열펌프 저감장치 114대에 대한 설치비의 90%를 지원할 예정이다. 

엔진형식별로 차등 지원되며, 대당 약 246만 원에서 332만 원이 정액 지원된다.

지원 대상은 2022년 12월 31일 이전에 가스열펌프를 설치해 운영 중인 부천시 내 시설 가운데, 2024년 12월 31일까지 대기배출시설 신고를 완료한 사업장이다.

신청 기간은 3월 24일부터 4월 25일까지며, 선착순으로 진행된다. 

참여를 희망하는 사업장은 부천시 홈페이지 또는 (재)경기대진테크노파크 홈페이지에서 공고문을 확인한 뒤, (재)경기대진테크노파크에 우편으로 신청하면 된다.
