(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 12일 2025 아시아·태평양경제협력체(APEC) 인천 회의 준비를 위한 TF를 출범하고, 첫 회의를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

인천시에 따르면, 글로벌도시정무부시장이 단장을 맡는 ‘2025 APEC 인천 국제회의 추진 TF’는 인천시 실·국·본부장과 인천관광공사 등 유관기관 관계자 등으로 구성되며, 기관 간 협력체계를 공고히 하기 위해 발족했다.

인천에서는 7월 26일부터 8월 15일까지 제3차 고위관리회의(SOM3, Third Senior Officials’ Meeting), 디지털장관회의, 식량안보장관회의, 여성경제장관회의, 반부패고위급대화 등 4개 분야 장관회의와 10월, 재무장관회의 및 구조개혁 장관회의가 개최된다. 

같은 기간 총 200여 개의 제반 회의가 개최되고 APEC 회원국 장관급 인사를 비롯해 각국 대표단 등 5,000여 명이 인천을 방문할 것으로 예상된다.

특히 고위관리회의(SOM)는 APEC 정상회의 및 각료회의의 주요 의제에 관한 실질적인 협의 및 결정을 이끄는 APEC 핵심 협의체다.

인천시는 TF 출범 후 열린 첫 회의에서 유관부서와 진행 경과를 공유하고, 실국별 주요 추진계획에 대해 의견을 나눴으며, 논의 결과를 기반으로 향후 구체적인 세부 계획을 마련하고 홍보, 문화·관광, 안전·위생 등 각 분야별로 총력 대응해 나갈 방침이다.

특히 인천시는 인천국제공항과 철도망 등 높은 교통 접근성과 송도컨벤시아, 4·5성급 호텔 등 다양한 분야의 컨벤션 기반시설을 활용해 APEC 인천회의를 차질 없이 준비할 계획이다.
