(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부평구시설관리공단(이하 '공단')이 지난 10일 갈산종합사회복지관에서 외벽 정비 봉사활동을 실시하며 지역사회 나눔을 실천했다.

공단에 따르면, 이번 봉사활동은 공단 공원관리팀이 보유한 인적·물적 자원을 활용하여 장애인과 노인이 보다 쾌적한 환경에서 시설을 이용할 수 있도록 진행됐다. 

이에 따라 복지관 외벽의 담쟁이넝쿨을 제거하고, 외벽 설비 재설치를 비롯한 정비 작업을 진행해 보다 안전하고 쾌적한 공간 조성에 기여했다.

공단은 매년 복지 사각지대에 놓인 이웃들을 위한 환경 정비 및 집수리 등 다양한 봉사활동을 꾸준히 실천하며 지역사회와의 상생을 위한 사회공헌활동을 이어오고 있다.

공단 윤낙영 이사장은 ‘직원들의 재능기부를 통해 사회적 약자의 이용 환경을 개선하고 지역사회 발전에 기여할 수 있어 기쁘다’며, ‘앞으로도 관내 사회복지시설을 비롯한 다양한 공공시설의 이용 편의 향상을 위해 지속적인 봉사활동을 추진하겠다.’고 밝혔다.
