(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구가 11일, 주요 현안사항에 대해 논의하고 지역발전을 도모하고자 지난 5일과 7일 당정협의회(국민의힘)와 예산정책협의회(더불어민주당)를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

서구에 따르면, 지난 5일 당정협의회에는 국민의힘 박종진 서구을 당협위원장, 이행숙 서구병 당협위원장을 비롯하여 시·구의원 10명이 참석했다. 

지난 7일 예산정책협의회에는 더불어민주당 김교흥 국회의원(서구갑), 이용우 국회의원(서구을), 모경종 국회의원(서구병)을 비롯하여 시·구의원 18명이 참석했다.

서구에서는 강범석 구청장을 포함한 간부공무원 등 17명이 참석하여, 서구 주요 재정사업 보고와 현안 사업을 논의했다.

이번 협의회에서 서구는 행정체제개편(검단구 신설), 석남1동 행정복지센터 신축, 공립 치매전담형 종합요양시설 건립, 도시 및 주거환경 정비사업(재개발), 신개념 실내체육관 건립(구. 서구 실내종합체육관 건립), 청라청소년센터 건립, 오류왕길문화체육센터 건립, 마전동 행정복지센터 신축, 검단SOC복합화 사업을 주요 재정사업으로 제시하고 당 차원에서 사업이 원활히 추진될 수 있도록 협조해 줄 것을 요청했다.

또한, 보통교부세 확대 및 자치구 교부세 제도 개편을 건의했다. 

특히 수도권매립지특별회계 이관 및 예산 사용 관련, 국고보조금이나 지원금의 지급 주체가 대부분 시·군 단위로 지정되어 있어 자치구의 권한과 재량권에 한계가 있음을 설명하고 개선 방안을 마련하는 데 당의 이해와 협조를 구했다.

이외 루원중 학교복합시설 건립, 자원순환센터 건립, 원도심 주거환경 개선, 복지 사각지대 관련 시스템 점검, 구명칭 변경 등 구정 전반의 현안 사항에 대해 짚어보며, 구와 당정 간 끊임없는 소통과 협력을 이어가기로 했다.

박종진 서구을 당협위원장은 “여러가지 현안사업을 추진하느라 어려움이 많은 것에 대해 잘 알고 있다”며 “힘이 될 수 있도록 최선을 다해 돕겠다”고 말했고, 

이행숙 서구병 당협위원장은 “분구를 앞둔 시점에, 서구에 필요한 부분이 무엇인지 파악하고 소통하는 의미 있는 시간이 되었으면 한다”고 전했다.

김교흥 국회의원(서구갑)은 “서구 주민과 지역발전을 위해 모두가 뜻을 모아 협력하고 그 과정에서 어려운 부분이 있다면 해결하기 위해 노력하겠다”며 “서구에서는 분구 등 현안 사항을 잘 추진해달라”고 말했다.

또,  이용우 국회의원(서구을)은 “소통할 수 있는 자리를 마련해주셔서 감사하다”며 “앞으로 사업 추진 시 절차나 방식에 대한 충분한 검토와 숙의과정을 거쳐 부족한 부분은 개선하고 발전하는 서구를 만들자”고 말했다. 

또한 모경종 국회의원(서구병)은 “앞으로 풀어나가야 할 과제가 많지만 오늘 협의를 동력으로 하나가 되어 해결해 나가자”고 말했다.

강범석 구청장은 “서구는 구정 규모가 큰 만큼 다양한 현안 사항이 존재하는 곳”이라며 “큰 변화를 앞둔 시기인 만큼 더 좋은 서구를 만들기 위해 구 차원에서도 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 답했다.
