부평구에 따르면, 120여명의 위원이 참석한 이날 교육은 서울시 인재개발원 주민자치 강사로 활동하고 있는 정창일 강사가 맡았으며,주민자치의 기본 개념,주민자치회 위원의 역할 및 책임과 의무를 중심으로 강의를 진행했다.
참석한 주민자치회 위원들은 이 자리에서 주민자치에 대한 올바른 역할을 인식하고,지역사회 문제 해결에 지혜를 더하는 시간을 가졌다.
차준택 구청장은 인사말에서“이번 교육을 통해 주민자치회의 역할과 의미를 깊이 이해하고,주민이 주체가 되는 주민자치시스템의 실질적 리더로 발돋움할 수 있기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
한편, 부평구는 신규위원에 대한 기본 교육 외에 주민자치회 간사 및 감사를 대상으로 한 회계 교육 등 주민자치회 수요와 직무에 따른 맞춤형 교육을 지속적으로 실시할 계획이다.
