(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 백승아 국회의원(더불어민주당, 국회 교육위원회)이 대표 발의한 ‘유아교육법 일부개정법률안’과 ‘학교폭력예방 및 대책에 관한 법률 일부개정법률안’이 지난 27일 국회 본회의를 통과했다.

이번에 통과된 ‘유아교육법 일부개정법률안’은 학령인구 감소와 유아교육 공공성 강화를 고려하여 시도교육청이 유치원 교사 배치 기준을 정할 수 있도록 법적 근거를 마련한 것이다.

특히 개정안을 통해 유치원 학급 담임교사를 지원하는 보조교사, 초·중등학교의 교과전담교사와 유사한 영역별 담당교사, 바깥놀이 지원교사 등의 배치가 가능해진다. 이를 통해 영유아 교육의 특성을 반영한 다양한 교육 방식이 활성화되며, 지역 특색을 반영한 유아교육 발전이 기대된다.

‘학교폭력예방 및 대책에 관한 법률 일부개정법률안’은 교육감 또는 교육장이 아동성착취물에 대한 신속한 조치를 위해 피해자나 보호자 등의 요청이 없이도 국가에 촬영물 등의 삭제를 위한 지원을 요청할 수 있는 근거를 마련한 것으로, 향후 사이버폭력 및 아동성착취물 피해학생에 대한 지원이 보다 신속하게 이루어질 것으로 기대된다.
