(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 혜원의료재단 세종병원 박진식 이사장이 12일, 아동학대 경각심을 높이고 긍정 양육 문화 확산을 위해 ‘아동학대 예방캠페인 챌린지’에 동참했다고 밝혔다.

세종병원에 따르면, 이번 릴레이 캠페인은 보건복지부·아동권리보장원이 ‘아이를 있는 그대로 존중, 긍정 양육’을 주제로 추진 중인 활동이다. 

박 이사장은 최근 가톨릭대학교 부천성모병원 김희열 병원장의 지목을 받아 캠페인에 동참했다.

세종병원은 아동 친화병원으로 일컬어진다. 

더욱이 심장병 아동들에게는 희망의 장소다. 

세종병원은 ‘심장병 없는 세상을 위하여’라는 병원 설립이념을 추구하며, 수십년간 국내외 수많은 심장병 아동을 대상으로 의료나눔을 펼치고 있다.

특히 세종병원은 이번 캠페인에 앞서 아동학대 피해 아동의 보호와 지원을 위해 지자체, 경찰, 교육청, 아동보호전문기관과 협력체계를 구성하는 등 아동학대 예방 활동을 활발히 추진 중이다.

부천세종병원은 아동복지법에 따라 지정된 ‘부천시 아동학대 전담의료기관’이다. 

인천세종병원도 계양구와 ‘아동학대 예방, 피해 아동 보호를 위한 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결하고 지원에 나서고 있다.
