(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 3일, 시민들에게 건강한 먹거리를 제공하기 위해 올해 2월부터 매월 1,000건 이상의 시중 유통·판매 식품을 수거해 검사할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

인천시에 따르면, 이는 시민들이 주로 구입하고 섭취하는 식품의 안전성을 강화하기 위한 조치이다.

최근 온라인 유통 시장의 확대에 따라, 홈쇼핑, 생산자 직거래, 사회관계망 서비스(SNS), 블로그 판매 등 온라인 플랫폼에서 판매되는 제품에 대한 수거·검사를 강화하고, 유통 농·수산물의 잔류농약과 방사능 검사도 보다 철저히 진행할 계획이다.

또한, 건강과 환경을 고려한 식습관이 전 세계적으로 주목받고 있는 가운데, 인천시는 비건식품(대체육)에 육류 성분이 혼입됐는지 여부를 검사할 방침이다.

아울러, 온라인 쇼핑몰에서 유통·판매 중인 대마종자 함유 식품에 대해 대마 성분 포함 여부도 검사한다.

특히, 다음 달 밸런타인데이를 맞아 소비가 급증하는 코코아 가공품류와 초콜릿류에 대한 중금속 검사를 우선적으로 실시해 시민들에게 안전한 먹거리를 제공할 계획이다. 

검사 결과 부적합 판정을 받은 식품은 관련 법령에 따라 행정처분, 회수 및 폐기 등의 조치를 취할 예정이다. 

인천시는 지난해 1년 동안 유통 식품 등 13,426건을 수거해 검사했으며, 이 중 잔류농약과 금속성 이물 등이 검출된 부적합 식품 39건을 긴급 회수 등 조치 완료했다.
