계양구민 여러분, 안녕하십니까?

계양구의회 의장 신정숙입니다.

2025년 새해가 밝았습니다. 

먼저, 최근 전남 무안국제공항에서 발생한 제주항공 여객기 참사로 인한 충격을 함께 나누며, 이 사고로 희생된 분들과 그 가족들께 진심 어린 애도와 위로의 말씀을 전합니다. 

우리 모두에게 큰 슬픔과 충격을 주었지만, 고통 속에서도 희생자들의 명복을 기원하고, 유족들이 힘을 내어 극복할 수 있기를 바랍니다.

2025년 을사년은 새로운 시작과 지혜로운 변혁을 의미하며, 우리 모두가 함께 성장하고 발전하는 한 해가 되기를 기원하며, 구민 여러분 모두에게 건강과 행복이 가득한 일들이 펼쳐지기를 진심으로 바랍니다.

지난 한 해 동안 구민 여러분의 많은 관심과 노력이 있었기에 계양구는 눈부신 성장을 이룰 수 있었습니다. 

특히, 인천광역시 10개 군·구 중 살기 좋은 도시 3위로 선정되는 쾌거는 우리 계양구가 더 나은 삶의 질을 제공하기 위해 끊임없이 노력한 결과이며, 무엇보다 구민 여러분의 지속적인 참여와 성원 덕분입니다.

계양구의회는 지난 2024년 공공기관 청렴도 측정 결과에서 인천시 기초의회 중 가장 높은 수준인 2등급을 기록하며 큰 성과를 이루었습니다. 

이를 토대로, 의정 활동의 투명성과 신뢰성을 더욱 강화하고, 열린 의회를 위한 적극적인 소통의 장을 마련하여, 구민 여러분의 목소리가 정책에 반영될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠습니다.

2025년은 계양구의 경제적 도약을 위한 중요한 한 해로 계양산업단지 사업이 본격적으로 추진되고 있는 가운데, 디지털 친환경 요소를 반영한 미래지향적 산업단지를 조성하여 경쟁력 있는 기업 유치와 일자리 창출을 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠습니다.

또한, 계양테크노밸리 조성에도 힘을 기울여 도시첨단산단 지정과 광역교통 대책 마련 등 투자유치 여건을 조성하기 위한 다양한 기술 스타트업과 지역 내 혁신적인 기업들이 성장할 수 있는 환경을 조성을 통해 계양구의 미래 산업의 중심지로 자리 잡아 구민들이 직접 체감할 수 있는 성과를 이루어낼 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠습니다.

구민의 삶을 향상하는 교통 문제 해결은 단순히 교통 편의를 넘어서, 구민들이 보다 쾌적하고 편리한 생활을 누릴 수 있도록 하는 핵심적인 요소입니다.

우선, 대중교통 노선의 개선을 통해 구민들이 보다 편리하게 이동할 수 있도록 구민들의 요구와 실효성 있는 교통 수요를 반영한 노선 개편을 추진하고, 광역 교통망 연계 등 교통 인프라 구축과 스마트 교통 시스템을 도입하여 교통 흐름을 보다 효율적으로 관리하고, 구민들이 실시간으로 교통 정보를 제공받을 수 있는 환경을 조성하겠습니다.

또한, 주차난 해결을 위해 공영주차장 확충과 개방 활성화를 통해 구민들이 쉽게 주차 공간을 찾을 수 있도록 하고, 민간주차장과의 협력 강화, 거주자 우선 주차제 확대 등의 다각적인 방안을 강구하여 주차 공간을 효율적으로 활용할 수 있는 방안을 모색하겠습니다.

계양구는 노인과 장애인 인구가 지속적으로 증가하면서, 복지 수요가 급격히 늘어나고 있으나, 노인복지관과 장애인복지관 등 관련 시설은 여전히 부족한 상황입니다.

이로 인해 많은 구민들이 필요한 복지 서비스를 이용하는 데 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 사회적 약자들에게 제공되는 지원 문제 해결을 위한 시급한 조치가 필요합니다.

복지 인프라 확충을 위한 계양구립 종합누리센터의 건립을 신속히 추진하여 노인 및 장애인을 위한 종합적이고 효율적인 복지 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 공간을 마련하고, 노인 일자리 확대와 의료 서비스 강화를 통해 사회적 약자에 대한 복지 지원으로 더 나은 삶의 질을 제공하기 위한 노력을 지속하겠습니다.

계양구의회 의원연구단체 활동 활성화를 통해 구민의 생활 향상과 계양구 발전을 위해 전문적인 의정 활동을 펼칠 수 있도록 의원들의 전문성 강화를 적극적으로 추진하고 있습니다.

의원들이 특정 정책 분야에 대한 심도 깊은 연구를 통해, 구정 발전을 위한 실효성 있는 정책을 제시하고, 구민들에게 실질적인 혜택을 제공하는 방향으로 나아가고 있습니다.

It has caused great sadness and shock to all of us, but I pray for the souls of the victims and hope that the bereaved families will find strength and overcome the pain.

The year of Eulsa in 2025 signifies a new beginning and wise transformation, and I hope that it will be a year in which we all grow and develop together, and I sincerely hope that all residents will be filled with health and happiness.

Thanks to the great interest and effort of our residents over the past year, Gyeyang-gu was able to achieve remarkable growth.
