(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구가 오는 31일, 김상섭 인천시 의회사무처장이 서구 신임 부구청장(지방 2급)으로 취임한다고 밝혔다. 

서구에 따르면, 김상섭 신임 부구청장은 서울대 정치외교학과를 졸업한 뒤 1996년 지방고시(1회)에 합격하여 인천에서 공직 생활을 시작하였고 인천경제자유구역청 기획정책과장, 시 환경정책과장 등 다양한 분야에서 일찍부터 두각을 나타냈다. 

2015년에는 3급(부이사관)으로 승진해 시 문화관광체육국장, 인재개발원장, 재난안전본부장(2·3급 복수직제) 등을 역임하며 시민과 소통하며 다양한 정책을 펼쳐왔다. 2018년 2급(이사관) 승진한 뒤에는 일자리경제본부장, 부평구 부구청장, 시의회 사무처장을 지냈다. 

강범석 서구청장은 “신임 부구청장은 평소 합리적이면서도 추진력이 강한 인재로 전문적인 시각과 풍부한 경험을 바탕으로 민선8기 하반기 구정을 성공적으로 이끄는 데 큰 보탬이 될 것으로 기대된다”고 밝혔다.
