 협의회에 따르면, 이는 디지털 대전환 시대에 학생맞춤형교육을 지원할 AI 디지털교과서가 ‘교과용 도서’로서의 교과서 지위를 유지하되 안정적인 도입을 위해 다음과 같이 제안하고자 한다고 밝혔다.

첫째, 2025년에는 시·도교육청별 또는 단위학교에서 학교운영위원회의 심의를 통해 자율적으로 사용할 수 있도록 보장한다.
