(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 지난 11월 29일 참좋은지방정부협의회가 주최한 ‘2024년 참좋은 지방자치 정책대회’에서 대상(참좋은지방정부협의회장상)을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

부천시에 따르면, 이번 지방자치 정책대회는 지방정부의 우수정책을 널리 알리고 지자체 간 정책교류를 활성화해 지방자치의 발전을 이루고자 마련된 것으로, 총 21개 지자체가 참여했다.

부천시는 「어디서나! 누구나! 언제나! 소통에 진심인 부천」을 주제로 시민의 마음을 살피는 다양한 온·오프라인 소통 채널을 운영한 성과를 인정받아 대상(참좋은지방정부협의회장상)을 수상했다.

이날 발표자로 나선 조용익 부천시장은 “민선 8기 부천시장 취임 후 ‘시민 소통 열린 시장실 운영 계획’을 제1호 결재로 하는 등 시민 소통을 시정철학으로 다양한 정책을 펼치고 있다”고 말했다.

이어 “변호사로서의 경험을 활용한 ‘시장 민원 상담의 날’과 현장에서 기업·시민·청년들과 만나 함께 답을 찾는 ‘현답부천’, 주 1회 정기적으로 주민과 함께 마을을 변화시키는 ‘우리동네 가꾸기’ 등 어디서나 더 촘촘한 오프라인 소통 정책을 통해 소통에 진심을 보여주고 있다”고 설명했다.

아울러 “다양한 연령과 배경의 시민을 청사로 직접 모셔 안팍의 주요 시설과 명소를 소개하고, 시정과 현안에 대해 진솔하게 대화를 이어가는 ‘부천톡톡’으로 누구나 에게 열린 소통을 지향하고 있다”고 밝혔다.

온라인 소통 채널 ‘경청지혜 온(ON)’도 언급하며 “시 홈페이지를 통해 정책구상 단계부터 시민의 의견을 듣고 이를 정책에 반영하는 소통 채널을 운영해 시민이 언제나 편리하게 정책에 참여할 수 있도록 했다”고 전했다. 

또한 “최근 ‘부천의 근린공원, 어떤 꽃 테마로 채울까요?’라는 글은 조회수 약 9천 회, 댓글 2백여 개를 기록했으며, 시는 시민 의견을 반영해 내년에는 근린공원 6곳을 시민 추천 여름꽃으로 채우고 부천의 명소로 만들 계획이다”고 언급했다.

이에 더해 “매주 22만 명의 시민에게 시정 정보를 시기적절하게 제공하는 ‘부천알리미’를 통해 시민의 정책 참여 활성화를 유도하고 있다”고 이야기했다.
