(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 지난 26일 도성훈 인천교육감이 대구시에서 열린 제99회 전국시도교육감협의회 총회에 참석해 다양한 교육 현안에 대해 논의했다고 밝혔다.

인천시교육청에 따르면, 총회에서는 집회 및 시위에 관한 법률 개정, 교육부 소관 국유재산 직권 용도폐지 철회 요청, 지방교육재정 일몰 법안 등에 대한 개정, 교육부의 ‘교육지원청 학교현장 지원기능 강화 방안’ 등에 대해 의견을 나눴다. 

특히 도성훈 교육감은 교육부가 추진하는 ‘교육지원청 학교현장 지원기능 강화 방안’과 관련해 인력 증원 등의 실질적인 지원책이 필요하다고 강조했다.

도 교육감은 “교육지원청이 학교를 지원하는 실질적인 방안은 학교의 업무를 교육지원청으로 이관하는 것이므로 교육지원청의 인력 증원과 총액인건비 내 3급 정원 책정 권한을 시·도교육청으로 이양해야 한다”고 주장했다.

이 외에도 고교 무상교육 경비 부담에 관한 특례, 지방세법 부칙(담배소비세분 지방교육세 과세) 문제, 디지털 기반 교육혁신 및 AI 디지털 교과서, 유보통합 등 교육계 주요 현안 사항에 대해서도 전국 시도교육감들과 논의했다.

도성훈 교육감은 “학생성공시대를 열어 가기 위해서는 그에 부합하는 법과 제도, 시설과 환경이 뒷받침 되어야 한다”며 “이를 위한 방안을 지속적으로 발굴하고 시도교육감들과 협력해 가겠다”고 말했다.
