(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 오는 10월 9일 국립세계문자박물관과 함께 제578돌 한글날을 맞아 ‘한글날 문자로 노닐다’를 주제로 한글날 축제를 공동 개최한다고 밝혔다.

인천시교육청에 따르면, 이번 행사는 인천 송도 센트럴파크 잔디광장에서 열리며 한글날 경축식과 다양한 체험 등 한글의 아름다움과 가치를 체험하는 풍성한 프로그램으로 진행된다.

체험 한마당과 한글로 장터에는 공공도서관 및 지역서점, 한글 관련 문화예술단체가 참여해 체험 프로그램과 함께 기념품, 책 등을 판매하며 이를 통해 시민들은 한글과 문화를 접목한 다양한 활동을 즐기고, 한글의 가치와 아름다움을 재발견할 것으로 보인다.

또 방문객들이 여유로운 분위기에서 한글의 아름다움과 문학의 향기를 느낄 수 있도록 자유롭게 책을 읽고 휴식을 취하는 공간도 마련할 계획이다.

한글날 공모전에서 우수한 성적을 거둔 학생들과 시민들에 대한 시상식과 유튜브 크리에이터이자 인천교육청 홍보대사인 ‘웃소’의 축하공연도 열릴 예정이다.

인천시교육청 관계자는 "이번 한글날 축제에서 시민들이 한글의 소중함을 다시 한번 느끼고, 문자를 통해 즐거움을 찾는 계기가 되길 바란다"며 "많은 분들의 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다"고 말했다.
