(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부평구가 6일, 부평문화원이 오는 9일부터 13일까지 부평굴포갤러리(구청 지하1층)에서 부평 풍물의 아름다움과 가치를 재조명하는 ‘PLAY 부평풍물’ 사진전을 개최한다고 밝혔다.

부평구에 따르면, 인천시 특성화 사업으로 기획된 이번 전시회는 신명나는 두드림으로 부평을 대표하는 부평구립풍물단, 부평두레놀이보존회, 부평구동풍물단엽합회의 활동을 주제로 한다.

각 풍물단체의 연습, 공연, 봉사 등 창단부터 현재까지의 활동을 담아낸 총 90여 점의 사진이 전시된다.

풍물을 기반으로 활동하고 있는 이들 세 단체는 창단 시기는 다르지만, 지역의 전통문화 보존 및 활성화를 위해 꾸준한 공연활동을 전개하며 부평구가 대표적인 풍물도시로 자리매김하는 데 큰 역할을 하고 있다.

신동욱 부평문화원장은 “이번 사진전은 부평 풍물의 우수성을 널리 알리고 지역 주민들이 전통문화를 이해하는 데 좋은 기회가 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 부평구만의 문화자원을 특성화할 수 있는 콘텐츠들을 발굴·지원해 문화적 가치를 높일 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
