(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 지난 13일 경기도 최초로 임기제 공무원을 장애인으로 채용하고 부천시청 5층 만남실에서 임용장 수여식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

부천시에 따르면,시는 장애인 고용을 촉진하고 장애인들이 차별 없이 일할 수 있는 근무 여건 조성을 위해 관련 부서와 협의하여 적합 직무를 발굴하고, 지난 4월 채용공고를 통해 최종 2명을 선발했다.

이날 석상균 부천시 행정국장은 신규 임기제 공무원에게 임용장을 수여하며 “앞으로의 공직 생활을 응원하고 현업부서에서 근무하는 데 불편함이 없도록 지원하겠다”고 인사말을 전했다.

조용익 부천시장은 “부천시가 경기도 최초로 장애인을 임기제 공무원으로 채용한 것은 단순히 고용률 제고를 넘어 장애인들이 사회에서 능력을 발휘할 수 있도록 더 넓은 기회를 제공하는 데 의미가 있다”며 “장애인 적합 직무를 추가 발굴하고 장애인 공무원들이 제약 없이 일할 수 있는 근무 환경을 조성하겠다”고 밝혔다.

또한, 부천시가 지난 3일부터 관내 경로당 46개소를 대상으로 ‘경로당 주치의제’를 운영한다고 밝혔다.

부천시에 따르면, 경로당 주치의제는 5개 의약단체(부천시의사회, 부천시치과의사회, 부천시한의사회, 부천시약사회, 부천시간호사회) 소속 의료 전문인력과 보건소 방문건강관리사업 간호사가 매월 1회 경로당에 방문하여 맞춤형 건강관리 서비스를 제공한다.

부천시는 37개 동별 경로당 1~2개소씩을 선정해 매회 건강상담 및 진료, 질병 예방 교육 등 기본적인 건강관리부터 구강검진, 침 치료, 올바른 약물 복용법 교육, 치매 예방프로그램 등 각 의약 단체별 특화 서비스를 제공해 높은 만족도를 얻고 있다.
