(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 11일, 생활 속 불편 해소를 위해 주민이 직접 구정에 대한 아이디어를 제안하는 ‘주민참여예산 제안사업’을 공모한다고 밝혔다.

남동구에 따르면, 주민참여예산은 지방자치단체의 예산 과정에 주민이 참여함으로써 재정의 투명성 및 건전성을 높이고 재정민주주의 실현에 기여하는 제도이다. 

올해 주민 제안사업 공모는 생활 속 불편 해소를 위해 공공성이 있는 구 소관 사업이 대상으로, 사업 1건당 사업비는 5억 원 이내로 제한된다. 

단, 예산이 수반되지 않는 사항, 법령 및 예산 편성 관련 규정에 위반되는 사업, 특정 단체를 지원하거나 특정 제품 판매(홍보)를 목적으로 하는 제안, 중장기 계획 사업, 축제 및 행사성 사업 등은 제외된다.

신청 기간은 오는 5월 17일까지로, 접수된 제안사업은 실무부서의 사업 타당성 검토, 주민참여예산위원회 심의 및 온라인 투표 등의 공론화 과정을 거친 후 12월 남동구 의회에서 심의·의결해 2025년 예산에 포함될 예정이다.
