(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 수도권매립지관리공사(사장 송병억. 이하 SL공사)가 오는 2일부터 11월 30일까지 동절기 휴장 중이던 약 43만㎡에 달하는 드림파크 야생화단지를 개방한다고 밝혔다.

SL공사에 따르면, 드림파크 야생화단지는 매주 화요일부터 일요일까지 오전 10시부터 18시까지 운영되며, 17시에 입장이 마감된다. 

방문객들의 안전과 잔디 보호를 위해 그늘막 텐트, 이륜 이상의 동력장치, 드론 등은 사용할 수 없다.

또, 올해는 총거리 470m, 폭 2m의 ‘맨발 걷기 산책로’를 신규로 조성해 야생화단지 산책에 즐거움을 더하고, 드림파크 봄·가을 문화축제를 기획해 다양한 볼거리를 제공할 예정이다. 

봄 문화축제는 5월 17일부터 26일까지 열린다. 

단지 내 주차장을 상시 개방해 개인차량을 이용할 수 있고, 간선버스 43·66·87번 등 대중교통으로도 편리하게 방문할 수 있다.

송병억 수도권매립지관리공사 사장은 “드림파크 야생화단지는 2023년 10월 산림청 인증 ‘모범도시숲’으로 선정되는 등 시민들의 편안한 휴식 공간으로, 지역의 환경명소로 확실한 자리매김을 했다”면서 “지역 주민들에게 봄꽃의 싱그러움을 전하는 등 지역사회와 상생하는 공간으로 강화해 나가겠다”고 전했다.
