(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 8일, 시민의 일상 속 문화예술 향유 기회를 확대하고 생활권 내 문화활동 기반을 강화하기 위해 ‘2026년 시민문화예술공간 운영지원’ 공모를 추진한다고 밝혔다.

인천시에 따르면, 시민문화예술공간 운영지원 사업은 시민들이 일상에서 손쉽게 문화예술을 접하고 참여할 수 있도록 민간 및 공공의 유휴·활용 공간을 문화예술공간으로 운영하는 단체나 개인에게 프로그램 운영비를 지원하는 사업이다. 

소규모 문화예술공간을 중심으로 다양한 생활문화 프로그램을 제공해 시민의 문화적 욕구를 충족하고, 여가와 휴식이 공존하는 지역 문화거점을 조성하는 데 목적이 있다.

특히 이번 사업은 지역주민이 주체가 되는 생활문화공동체의 안정적·지속적 성장을 지원하고, 지역 내 문화예술 생태계를 촘촘하게 구축하는 데 중점을 두고 추진된다.

인천시는 2018년부터 2025년까지 8년간 총 415개소의 시민문화예술공간을 지원했으며, 2026년에는 총 3억 원의 예산을 투입해 30여 개소의 문화예술공간을 선정·지원할 계획이다.

2026년 시민문화예술공간 운영지원은 13개소 내외 신규공간(개소당 최대 1,000만 원),  15개소 내외 2018~2025년 사업 참여 공간 중 2~5년차 기존공간(개소당 최대 1,000만 원),  2개소 내외 컨소시엄(개소당 최대 2,000만 원)으로 나눠 추진된다.

신청서 제출 기간은 1월 5일부터 1월 23일까지이며, 시민문화예술공간 및 라이브 뮤직공간은 해당 공간 소재지 군·구 담당부서를 통해 접수하면 된다.

인천시는 2월 중 1차 서류심사와 2차 인터뷰 심사를 진행한 뒤, 2월 말 보조금관리위원회 심의를 거쳐 3월 중 최종 선정 결과를 발표할 예정이며 선정된 공간에는 3월부터 보조금이 교부되며, 사업은 12월까지 운영된다.
