(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 경인교육대학교가 6일, 국제대학스포츠연맹(FISU, International University Sports Federation)이 주관하는 ‘헬시캠퍼스(Healthy Campus)’ 인증 대학으로 공식 선정됐다고 밝혔다. 

경인교대에 따르면, 이번 인증은 전 세계 대학을 대상으로 신체·정신·사회·환경적 건강을 아우르는 7대 영역 100개 기준을 종합적으로 평가해 부여되는 국제 인증으로, 경인교대는 체계적인 추진 성과를 인정받아 2025년 12월 24일 FISU 헬시캠퍼스 최고 등급인 Platinum 등급 인증을 획득했다.

FISU 헬시캠퍼스 프로그램은 단순한 체육·보건 정책을 넘어 신체활동과 스포츠, 영양, 질병 예방, 정신건강 및 사회적 건강, 위험 행동 예방, 환경·지속가능성·사회적 책임, 운영관리 및 거버넌스 등 대학 생활 전반을 포괄하는 글로벌 건강 캠퍼스 인증 제도다. 

경인교육대학교는 ‘배려하는 공동체 안에서 성장하는 건강한 교사, 건강한 대학’이라는 비전을 바탕으로 ‘GINUE Healthy Campus’를 추진해 왔다. 

그 결과, 다양한 신체활동 및 스포츠 프로그램 운영, 감염병 예방 캠페인과 건강검진 지원, 정신건강 지원 시스템 구축, 친환경 캠퍼스 조성과 지역사회 연계 활동 등 대학 전반에 걸친 건강 증진 성과를 축적해 왔다. 

이 가운데 상담인권센터를 중심으로 한 정신적·사회적 건강 지원 체계, 예약 없이 참여 가능한 열린 상담 프로그램, 신입생 심리검사 및 사후관리, 성폭력 예방 교육 등은 접근성과 지속성 측면에서 국제 기준에 부합하는 우수 사례로 평가받았다. 

또한, 녹지 및 체육시설 개선과 에너지 절감 위원회 운영 등 환경·지속가능성 분야의 실천 성과 역시 이번 인증 획득의 핵심 요소로 작용했다.

경인교육대학교 김왕준 총장은 “예비교원의 건강 역량은 미래 학교 현장의 건강한 교육 문화를 좌우하는 중요한 기반”이라며 “이번 FISU 헬시캠퍼스 인증은 단순한 제도적 성과를 넘어, 경인교육대학교가 ‘건강한 교사를 기르는 대학’으로서 국제적 기준을 충족했음을 보여주는 의미 있는 성과”라고 밝혔다. 

경인교육대학교는 앞으로도 헬시캠퍼스 운영 성과를 교육과정과 비교과 활동, 지역사회 연계 프로그램으로 확산해 나가며 대한민국을 대표하는 건강한 교원양성 선도대학으로서의 역할을 지속적으로 강화해 나갈 계획이다.
