다음은 2026년 신년사 전문이다.

(존경하는 교육 가족 여러분, 그리고 인천 시민 여러분!

희망과 기대 속에 병오년(丙午年) 새해가 밝았습니다.

 2026년, 모두의 가정에 건강과 행복이 가득하기를 기원합니다.

인천시교육청은 2026년 새해를 ‘서로 다름을 존중하면서도, 같은 점을 찾아 함께 나아간다’는 “존이구동(尊異求同)”의 마음으로 시작합니다.

인천교육은 학생과 교직원, 학부모는 물론 인천 시민 모두의 마음을 담는 그릇이 되어 학생성공시대를 향해 함께 나아가겠습니다.

우선, 교육 가족 여러분과 인천 시민의 목소리를 경청하며 ‘학교현장지원’에 더욱 매진하겠습니다.

학교가 교육 본연의 역할에 집중할 수 있도록 교육청의 지원 역할을 더욱 강화하겠습니다. 

불필요한 행정업무는 과감히 줄이고, 학교가 필요로 하는 지원은 제때 제공하겠습니다.

현장의 목소리를 정책의 출발점으로 삼아, 학교 현장에 실질적으로 도움이 되는 지원 체계를 더욱 확대해 가고, 특수교육을 비롯한 모든 유․초․중․고교의 교육여건 개선을 위해 지속해서 과제를 발굴하고 신속하게 실행에 옮기겠습니다. 

현장 지원을 막는 법률과 제도는 정부, 지자체, 시민들과 함께 고칠 건 고치고, 바꿀 건 바꾸며, 교육 가족 모두가 ‘함께 성장하는 학교’, ‘존중과 배려의 학교’를 만들어 가겠습니다.

둘째, ‘생각하는 교육’, ‘질문하는 교육’, ‘움직이는 교육’으로 깊이 있는 교육 혁신을 이루겠습니다.

지금은 인간, 자연, AI가 공존하고 협력해야 하는 시대입니다. 

불확실한 미래, 학생들이 인간성을 갖춘 돌파력으로 더 나은 미래를 만들어 갈 수 있도록 돕겠습니다.

학생들이 생각하며 행동하는 사람으로 자라도록 교직원은 물론 학부모와 시민 모두가 학생들의 동행자가 되어, 저마다의 문턱을 넘어 행복을 이어가도록 지원하겠습니다.

상호 의존성을 실천하는 전 지구적 생태 평화 교육으로 일상에서 평화가 실현되도록 힘쓰고, 내 고장 인천을 바로 알고, 세계를 향해 나아가는 인천형 세계시민교육에도 최선을 다하겠습니다.

인간보다 1만 배 똑똑한 초인공지능(ASI) 시대가 도래합니다.

AI 주도 시대, 학생들이 기계문명에 끌려가지 않도록, 배움의 능동성과 AI 활용성을 결합한 인천만의 AI 교육에도 힘쓰겠습니다.

셋째, 맞춤형 진로․진학․직업교육으로 다양한 성장 경로를 만들겠습니다.

세상이 원하는 인재상이 변하고 있습니다. 역량 있는 인재를 필요로 하는 시대입니다.

변화하는 사회와 미래 산업에 대응할 수 있도록 학생 한 명 한 명의 적성과 소질을 존중하는 맞춤형 진로·진학 지원을 확대하겠습니다.

온․오프라인 상시 진로상담 및 진학 지원 체계를 구축하고, 전문가 멘토들과 함께 저마다의 진로를 디자인하도록 돕겠습니다.

AI 등 신산업 분야 중심의 학과 재구조화는 물론 안전한 취업 환경 구축과 다양한 창업 교육에도 힘쓰겠습니다.

기초학력 보장과 교육 격차 해소를 위해 다양하고 전문적인 지원을 이어가고, 인천 학생이라면 누구나, 악기 하나, 운동 하나, 제2외국어 하나는 즐겁게 하며 살 수 있도록 돕겠습니다.
