(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천강화경찰서 송해파출소가 지난 11월 17일과 12월 1일 양 이틀에 걸쳐 송해초등학교와 대월초등학교 2곳에서 학생들 대상으로 범죄로부터 자신을 보호하는 안전한 학교생활 수칙이라는 주제로 경각심을 일깨워주고 흥미로운 경찰 직업 소개와 과학수사를 체험하는 시간을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

강화경찰서에 따르면, 이날 교육은 앞서 진행한 강화여중과 강화중학교에서 청소년들에게 경찰   직업 선호도가 높은데 평소 쉽게 접하기 어려운 여건임에도 현장 경찰관이 직접 학교를 방문해 특강을 진행하여 경찰에 꿈을 가진 학생들에게 다양한 직업 세계를 체험하는 좋은 교육 시간이 되었다는 큰 호응을 얻게 되면서  확대 추진하게 되었다고 설명했다. 

추가로 진행한 교육에서는 초등학교 학생들에게 우리나라 경찰의 과학  수사 역량이 세계 최고 수준이라는 점을 강조하며, 직접 감식 장비를 활용하여 지문을 채취해보는 실습과 체험 교육을 진행하여 참여한 학생들과  교사들로부터 큰 호응을 얻었다.

교육을 진행한 송해파출소 경감 남기철은 우수한 k-팝, 드라마, 무비 등이 전 세계적으로 각광을 받고 있는 가운데, 무엇보다 중요한 K-치안의 선진 경찰 모습을 학생들에게 알려주는 좋은 기회가 되었다며, 청소년 범죄예방은 물론 경찰 직업체험 특강 활동을 더욱 넓혀 나갈 계획이라고 포부를 밝혔다.
