부천시에 따르면, 이날 회의에서는 공정무역 판매처 확대, 교육 및 캠페인 운영, 대학생 서포터즈 활동, 실천기관·기업·커뮤니티 인증 확산, 공정무역 포트나잇 행사 성황리 개최 등 2025년 주요 성과를 공유하는 시간을 가졌다.

부천시는 내년에도 기관·학교·종교단체와의 협업 확대, 신규 커뮤니티 및 판매처 발굴, 판매지도 제작과 디지털 홍보 강화, 공정무역 교육체계 고도화, 시민 참여 프로그램 확대 등을 중심으로 공정무역 활성화를 추진할 방침이다.

최혜연 부위원장은 “부천시는 민관학이 함께 힘을 모아 4차 재인증을 획득했다”며 “앞으로도 지역 공동체와 협력해 공정무역 실천이 시민의 일상 속에 자연스럽게 자리 잡을 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

남동경 부천시 부시장은 “공정무역은 소비를 통해 사회적 가치를 실현하는 실천운동인 만큼, 부천시도 시민과 함께 공정한 소비문화 확산에 앞장서겠다”며 “앞으로도 민관학이 협력하는 지역 기반 공정무역 모델을 지속 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 말했다.
