(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천문화재단이 운영하는 우리미술관에서 2025년 12월 2일부터 12월 31일까지 ‘연금술’ 전시가 개최된다. 

우리미술관은 작가의 창작활동을 지원하는 프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 

매년 공모를 통하여 지역기반 예술 활동을 계획하는 레지던스 입주작가를 선발하고, 창작공간 및 활동을 지원한다. 

2025년에는 이은정 작가가 작년에 이어 전문가 심사를 거쳐 우리미술관의 입주작가로 선발됐다. 

이번 ‘연금술’展은 우리미술관 레지던시 입주 작가 결과보고 전시회로, 이은정 작가가 만석동 괭이부리마을에서 주민들과의 커뮤니티 아트 결과를 전시한다. 

뿐만 아니라, 작가가 지역에서 받은 영감을 통해 작품을 완성하였고 이를 전시한다. 

작가는 보편적인 삶과 예술이 만나는 지점을 화두로 현재 고령 여성의 토착지식과 암묵지에 대한 탐구에 기반 하여 다양한 방식으로 예술 활동을 하고 있다. 

작가는 다음의 글을 통해 전시의 기획의도를 밝힌다.

인천문화재단 관계자는 “우리미술관 레지던스 프로그램을 통해 예술가와 주민이 지역에서 만나고, 이로써 작가도 문화와 삶에 대한 깊이 있는 성찰을 전시에 담을 수 있는 기회가 되었다”고 말하며, 또한 “우리미술관 레지던스 작가들의 일 년간의 창작과정과 성과를 만날 수 있는 전시로 주민 및 관람객이 예술에 대한 거리감을 좁힐 수 있는 계기가 될 것”이라고 설명했다.
